We encourage everyone to practice social distancing, and limit their social interactions as much as possible. Understanding the inconvenience and frustration this may present, please contact us if you need assistance with picking up groceries or other supplies. Pastor Seth and others in the Church would be happy to assist you in this area.
In order to support social distancing efforts in our community, we are suspending our in-person worship at least until the end of March.
On Sunday mornings, we will livestream our worship service using Facebook Live on the Church's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/HartfordUnitedMethodistChurch/). Once that service is concluded and the video is posted online, we will also share that video on this website under the "Sermons" tab at the top of the page. We will also upload a written copy of Pastor Seth's sermon on that page.
Our policy is that whenever West Central Schools are closed, we cancel our regular children's programs, including Sunday School and our Wednesday LOL program. Once the schools reopen, we will resume our regular programming as well.
We encourage everyone to continue practicing healthy habits, such as washing hands and sanitizing often-used surfaces. One suggestion is to say the Lord's Prayer as you wash your hands. By the end, your hands will be clean and you will have made a helpful connection with God at the same time!
We also encourage everyone to pay close attention to the recommendations of the CDC and other authorities. Social Media is filled with misinformation and fear-mongering. Please check the facts with reputable sources before sharing.
Even though we are suspending our worship, there are still ongoing financial burdens of ministry including paying staff and other bills. If you feel so led and would like to financially support the church's mission and ministry in the midst of this pandemic, you may send such contributions through the mail, or take advantage of our electronic giving system through Vanco by using the "E-Giving" tab above.
Lent is a perfect time for us to return to the basics of our faith, and rebuild a foundation of belief. Join us for this worship series based on Pastor Adam Hamilton's book on the Apostles' Creed, as we dive deep into the meaning of this ancient statement of what all Christians believe!
Our Saturday evening service meets in our fellowship hall and is a very informal gathering. On the first and third Saturdays of each month, we share a potluck meal as well!
This service meets in our sanctuary, and is typically an hour long. Dress code ranges from shorts and T-shirts to the Sunday best.
This service will typically last only a half-hour. Everything from the music to the message is focused towards children and youth, but all ages are welcome!
We offer a variety of Sunday School classes for kids, youth, and adults! If you have been attending classes your whole life, or are just starting to learn, we have a class for you!
Our Wednesday "Live Out Loud" (LOL) program is from 6:00 - 8:15 pm. During that time, we have a meal, worship, and groups for Elementary, Middle School, and High School students
